Men's Track Finishes Seventh at IC4A Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. (May 13, 2007) - The University of Connecticut men's track and field team wrapped up the IC4A Championships with a seventh place finish scoring 44.5 points on Sunday afternoon in Princeton, N.J.
Senior Basil Campbell (Edwin, N.J.) was the runner-up in the 200m dash with a time of 21.26. He then went on to take sixth in the 110m hurdles, clocking in at 14.40.
In the finals of the 1,500m run, senior Max Feldman (Easton, Conn.) placed fifth with a time of 3:48.90.
Sophomore Marquis Thomas (Mattapan, Mass.) tied for sixth place in the high jump with a mark of 2.00m.
The Huskies had a strong showing in the triple jump. Senior Daniel Hutcherson (New London, Conn.) placed fifth with a jump of 14.90m while junior Musevini Akanno (Linden, N.J.) took seventh (14.54m).
In the throws, sophomore Andrew Dubs (Holland, Pa.) took fourth in the shot put with a distance of 17.20m, an NCAA Regional mark. Senior Aaron Isaacs (Danbury, Conn.) grabbed third in the discus with an NCAA Regional throw of 52.44m. Isaacs then went on to take 11th in the hammer throw (55.37m).
The Huskies will be back in action at the NCAA Regional Championships in Gainesville, Fla., May 25-26.
