The hits kept coming in the bottom of the fourth when sophomore Erin Burtner (Jefferson, Md.) blasted a homer to left center to close-in at 4-2.
The Huskies kept the offense going in the fifth when with the bases loaded, sophomore Danielle Del Ponte (Tewksbury, Mass.) was hit by a pitch, allowing Calcagno to cross the plate, down only one run at 4-3.
Quinnipiac would go on to score a run in both the sixth and seventh innings to take the game 6-3.
Sophomore Rachael Crossin (Fairless Hills, Pa.) took the loss in the circle pitching 4.0 innings with five strikeouts and allowing five hits.
