Women's Tennis Seeded Ninth For BIG EAST Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April 16, 2007) - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team has earned the No. 9 seed in the 2007 BIG EAST Women's Tennis Championship to take place April 19-22 at the Varsity Courts in Tampa, Fla.
Notre Dame is the No. 1 seed followed by No. 2 USF and Louisville who is seeded No. 3.
UConn closed out the regular season by winning seven of its last nine matches, with five of the victories coming over BIG EAST opponents.
The Huskies will take on No. 8 Seton Hall in the opening round on Thursday morning at 9 a.m.
