Women's Tennis Shutout By St. John's

STORRS, Conn. (April 9) -- The University of Connecticut women's tennis team didn't win a match in a 7-0 loss to St. John's on Sunday afternoon at the UConn Tennis Courts. The Huskies dips to 4-12 this spring while the Red Storm is now 10-6.
The Huskies lost all three doubles matches with a pair of 8-4 scores at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions being the closest. In singles play, UConn as swept although some of the matches were tight. BreAnn Cheung forced Lauren Lorenzetti to a third set before falling, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 4 while Jaclyn Shapiro lost a pair of tight sets in her 6-4, 7-6 defeat at the hands of Nataly Tumsevica at the No. 1 position.
The Huskies return to action on Monday when they play host to Holy Cross at 3:15 p.m.
