Men's Track Sees Success At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 28, 2006) - Several members of the University of Connecticut men's track and field team saw success in their events at the Penn Relays on Friday. Five Huskies competed in four events on the second day of competition at the Relays.
Competing in the college men's pole vault, junior Jake Radzevich (Hampstead, N.H.) took second place with a height of 4.90m.
In the high jump Eastern event, freshman Marquis Thomas (Mattapan, Mass.) tied for fifth place with a jump of 2.04m. Three other members of the UConn team competed in Eastern events, with sophomore Andrew Dubs (Holland, Pa.) taking eighth in the shot put Eastern with a throw of 15.40m and juniors Jonas TePaske (Freehold, N.J.) and Sean Berg (Mystic, Conn.) no heighting in the pole vault Eastern.
The remainder of the UConn team members competing at the Penn Relays will take on the best in the nation on Saturday, April 29. The rest of the squad will also be competing on Saturday at the University of New Hampshire.
