Women's Tennis Loses, 7-0, at Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (March 22) -- The University of Connecticut women's tennis team was swept, 7-0, by Brown on Wednesday afternoon in Providence. The Huskies drop to 3-8 this spring with the loss while the Bears improve to 4-6.
The Bears won all three doubles matches to claim the opening team point of the afternoon. UConn also dropped all six singles contests. The tightest contest came at the No. 5 position where senior Ashley Petruzzi and Kara Zeder battled into a super-tiebreaker with the Bears' Zeder claiming a 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 victory.
The Huskies return to action on Monday when they play host to Sacred Heart at 2:00 p.m.
