Legare Advances To NCAA Indoor Championship Final

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (March 10, 2006) - University of Connecticut senior Joel Legare (Holden, Mass.) advanced to the final of the 800m at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday afternoon.

Legare, running in the first heat of the preliminaries, ran the 800m in a time of 1:50.02. The top two runners in each heat plus the next four fastest times advanced to the finals to be held on Saturday.

The 800m final will be run on Saturday, March 11 on the campus of the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:35 p.m.
