Women's Tennis Beaten By Yale, 7-0

NEW HAVEN, CONN. (Feb. 18, 2006) – The University of Connecticut women’s tennis team lost by a 7-0 score to Yale on Saturday afternoon in New Haven. The Huskies fall to 0-3 on the spring with the loss while the Bulldogs stay perfect at 3-0.
Yale swept the doubles matches to open play and then continued to roll through singles. Jaclyn Shapiro at No. 2 and BreAnn Cheung at No. 5 were the lone Huskies to take a game in each set. Jessica Porter came the closest to winning a set, falling 6-4, 6-0 to Aimee Kim at No. 3 singles.
The Huskies will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 25 when they travel to Hanover, N.H. to face the Big Green of Dartmouth at 3:00 p.m.
