Coach Calhoun on Craig Austrie
“I am very excited to be able to add Craig to this recruiting class and it is especially great to be able to have the State High School Player of the Year coming to UConn. Craig brings versatility to the guard position for us by having the ability to play both the point and shooting guard spots. He really helps us strengthen our backcourt depth for the coming season. Having played for Mike Walsh at Trinity Catholic, Craig has definitely learned what it takes to be a winner and I am thrilled for him to be able to follow in the footsteps of another former Trinity Catholic standout and UConn captain and national champion, Rashamel Jones.”
