Hawkins and Shain Named To Hockey East Honor Roll

WAKEFIELD, Mass. (December 6) - University of Connecticut sophomore Jaclyn Hawkins (Manotick, Ontario) and senior Kaitlyn Shain (Calgary, Alberta) were named to the Hockey East Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday.
Hawkins was named to the list following a two goal performance, including the game winner, against Vermont on Dec. 1. She leads the Huskies with six goals on the season and 11 points.
Shain earned her spot on the list after notching her 11th career shutout against Vermont. She stopped all 12 of the Catamount's shots on goal in the UConn 4-0 victory. It was the fourth shutout of the season for Shain.
The Huskies will be in action next on Tuesday, Dec. 6 when they will host Brown University in the Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum. The puck is set to drop at 7:00 p.m.
