Shain and Uliasz Named To Hockey East Honor Roll

WAKEFIELD, Mass. (November 7) - Senior Kaitlyn Shain (Calgary, Alberta) and freshman Brianna Uliasz (Chalfont, Pa.) were named to the Hockey East Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday.
This is the third-consecutive honor roll spot for Shain and her fifth weekly honor. She was also honored as the Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for October. Shain's spot on the honor roll comes on the heels of her 26 save performance in the Huskies 1-0 loss at Wayne State on Friday evening. The only goal that she gave up in the loss came in the third period on a Wayne State power play.
Uliasz earned the first Hockey East honor of her career after dishing out assists on both of UConn's goals in the 3-2 loss at Wayne State on Saturday. Uliasz set up sophomores Jaclyn Hawkins (Manotick, Ontario) and Liz Gallinaro (Amherst, Mass.) in the third period to bring UConn within one to close out the game.
The Huskies are next in action on Saturday, Nov. 12 when they host Boston University in the Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
