Eight Huskies Earn BIG EAST Softball All-Academic Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Oct. 5) - Eight members of the University of Connecticut softball team received BIG EAST All-Academic honors for the 2004-05 season.
Seniors Michelle Caouette (Wynantskill, N.Y.) and Erica Pernell (Plainville, Conn.), along with juniors Jessica Quan (Stockton, Calif.) and Kristina Tolles (Southington, Conn.) are all current team members who received the honor. Graduated seniors Jen D’Angelo, Jessica Gurney, Mandy Schettini and Jen Ward were also named to the list. It was the second time that both Schettini and Ward earned BIG EAST All-Academic recognition in their Husky careers.
UConn will open the 2006 season on March 3 at the Georgia Tech Buzz Classic in Atlanta, Ga.
