Thomas to Compete for USA Decathlon Team

STORRS, CT (July 28) - Two-time decathlon All-American Will Thomas of the University of Connecticut men’s track and field team has been selected to compete for the USA Decathlon Team in a dual meet versus Germany. The meet will take place in Bernhausen, Germany, on August 2-3.
Thomas has been a standout for the program in the last three years. At the NCAA Track and Field Championship this past Spring, Thomas earned his second All-America title by placing second in the decathlon. Thomas finished in the top 10 in seven of 10 events and placed first in the shot put and pole vault.
Thomas will be one of seven athletes to represent the USA in the meet versus Germany. Results can be viewed on Sunday, August 3, by visiting USA Track and Field web site at .
