Huskies Compete at USA Track & Field Championships

PALO ALTO, CA (June 19) - The University of Connecticut men’s track and field team competes at the USA Track & Field Championships this week. Stanford University hosts the competition from June 19-22.
Sprinter Joe Mendel (Wayne, NJ) ran in the first round of the 400-meter dash on Thursday afternoon. Mendel finished in 20th place with a time of 46.74 seconds.
Paul Pisano (Toms River, NJ) will compete on Saturday, June 21 in the javelin throw and Will Thomas (Wakefield, RI) is competing in the decathlon on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 & 22.
