Deibler Named All-American High Jump

SACRAMENTO, CA (June 14) - Mike Deibler (Monroe, NY) of the University of Connecticut men’s track & field team finished in eighth place in the high jump on Saturday evening to earn his first All-America title at the NCAA Track & Field Championships hosted by California State University, Sacramento.
Deibler cleared a height of 2.18 meters (7-1.75) to record a personal-best jump.
The Huskies accumulated a total of 11 points over the four days of competition. Will Thomas (Wakefield, RI) earned eight with a second place finish in the decathlon and Paul Pisano (Toms River, NJ) finished seventh in the javelin and tallied two points for the team. Deibler added one with his eighth place jump on Saturday.
