Pisano Earns Second All-America Title in Javelin

SACRAMENTO, CA (June 13) - The University of Connecticut men’s track team has accumulated 10 points through Friday’s competition at the NCAA Track & Field Championships hosted by California State University, Sacramento.
Paul Pisano (Toms River, NJ) earned his second All-America title in the javelin on Friday, throwing a season-best distance of 70.57 meters (231-6.00) to finish in seventh place.
In the 400-meter semifinals, Joe Mendel (Wayne, NJ) completed in a time of 46.00 seconds.
Mike Deibler (Monroe, NY) will compete in the high jump finals on Saturday. Deibler qualified for the finals with a height of 2.14 meters (7-0.25) for tenth place in the qualifying round held on Thursday.
