Arbogast Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

STORRS, CT (April 29) - Junior Maggie Arbogast (Ambler, PA) was named Player of the Week by BIG EAST officials on Monday afternoon. She plays first base for the Huskies.

Arbogast hit .558 in BIG EAST games last week. She helped UConn to a 5-1 record in the league, including a 2-1 win over previously undefeated Notre Dame. In the victory over the Irish, she hit a solo homer to tie the game along with a double, going 3-for-3 against Notre Dame. In the Huskies 5-2 week, she had 11 hits, 10 RBI and three homeruns for a .550 batting average.

The Huskies play host to Providence College on Wednesday, April 30 at 2:30 p.m. for a makeup doubleheader.
