Huskies Take One of Two Over the Weekend

STORRS, CT - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team took one of two home matches over the weekend. The Huskies defeated Villanova 6-1 on Saturday, but fell to Seton Hall 4-3 on Sunday. The split moves the Huskies record to 11-8 overall and 4-4 in the BIG EAST.
Against Villanova, UConn took both doubles matches and five of six singles matches for the 6-1 victory, In the match against Seton Hall, the Huskies won all three doubles matches, but could only manage to win two of the six singles matches, with three of the four Pirate wins coming in three sets. UConn won at No. 4 singles with Jen LoRusso and No. 6 singles with Colleen Connors.
UConn returns to the courts on Thursday, April 17, at BIG EAST rival Boston College.
