Huskies Victorious over Embry Riddle

ORLANDO, FL (Mar. 18) - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team won their opening match of the spring break trip 6-3 over Embry Riddle. The win improves UConn's record to 7-6 on the season.
In singles matches the Huskies received wins from seniors Trinell Russel at No. 1, April Dixon at No. 5 and Colleen Connors at No. 6, while sophomore Barbara Schumsky won at No. 3. In doubles play the teams of Russel/Whitney Simcik and Schumsky/Jessica Shea both won their matches at No. 1 and No. 3, respectively.
