Huskies Open Outdoor Season at Disney Relays

ORLANDO, FL (March 17) - The University of Connecticut men’s track and field team started the outdoor season with a fourth place finish at the Disney Relays over the weekend.
The Huskies competed in only two of 20 events, but dominated those two. In the pole vault, UConn claimed 28.5 points as four of the event’s point-winners were Huskies. Chris Mazza (Toms River, NJ) led the group with a height of 4.85 meters (15-11.00). In the discus, Steve McGovern (Dumont, NJ) placed second with a throw of 45.85 meters (150-5.00).
