Koidahl Named AHA Rookie of the Week

STORRS, CT (Dec. 1) - For his outstanding performances against Bemidji State, University of Connecticut men’s hockey freshman forward Cole Koidahl (Minneapolis, MN) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Association Freshman of the Week.
Koidahl scored the game-winning goal against the Beavers in the Huskies’ 4-3 win in the first of a two-game series against the team this past week. In the same game, on November 25, Koidahl also tallied assists on UConn’s second and third goals of the game for a total of three points in the contest.
In UConn’s 7-2 loss to Bemidji on November 28, Koidahl scored the Huskies’ second goal, which was his third of the season. Koidahl is now tied with four other Huskies for the team lead in points with eight, as he has amassed three goals and five points.
UConn’s overall season record is now 4-6-3, and the Huskies will return to the ice on Tuesday, Dec. 2 when they travel to league-leading Holy Cross for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
