UConn Competes at 2003 Eastern College Women Championships

WEST POINT, NY (Oct. 6) - Jen LoRusso (Shoreham, NY) advanced to the finals in Flight 4 Singles to be the University of Connecticut women’s tennis team’s top performer at the 2003 Eastern College Women Championships held at Army this past weekend. LoRusso defeated three competitors en route to the finals where she suffered a 6-0, 7-5 loss to Elizabeth Conyerd.
Alison Adamski also played well for the Huskies, advancing to the semifinals of the Flight 3 Singles where she lost a hard-fought match 6-2, 7-6 in a tiebreaker.
UConn returns to the court on Thursday, Oct. 9 when they travel to UMass-Amherst for a 2:00 p.m. match which was rescheduled from an earlier date.
