Graczyk Earns BIG EAST and ECAC Honors

STORRS, CT (October 6) -- Junior Preseason All-BIG EAST Selection Kristen Graczyk (Albuquerque, NM) has been named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and ECAC Player of the Week for her efforts in leading the University of Connecticut women’s soccer team to a 2-0 week. Graczyk earns both honors for the first time in 2003 as she scored three goals including the game-tying tally in UConn’s 2-1 overtime victory at Boston College.
The forward also netted two goals in a 3-0 triumph at Pittsburgh. On the year, Graczyk has registered 21 points on eight goals and five assists. Her 21 points rank fifth most in the BIG EAST and her eight goals place her sixth amongst the league leaders.
The Huskies return home following a four game road stretch to take on Hofstra. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Morrone Stadium.
