Huskies to Open 2003-04 Season With Annual Festivities

STORRS, CT (October 15) – The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team will kick off the 2003-04 season this week with the annual Husky run and Midnight Madness events.
The annual Husky Run will take place on Thursday, October 16 at 3:30 pm, with the race beginning and ending at Gampel Pavilion on the Storrs campus. The public is invited to run along side the Huskies in this 5K run around campus.
On Friday, October 17, the Huskies will officially open its season at Midnight Madness at Gampel Pavilion on the Storrs campus. The doors will open at 10:30 pm, and sportscaster Kevin Nathan of Channel 30 will serve as the evening emcee. As well as John Salley of “The Best Damn Sports Show Period”, who will serve as celebrity judge for the dunk contest.
