MADISON, WI (Sept. 13) – The University of Connecticut Women’s Soccer team defeated the hosting Badgers, 2-1, in the first night of the Rocky Rococo Soccer Invitational. Wisconsin opened with eight shots in the first 15 minutes, none of which made it past Husky goaltender Maria Yatrakis (Brooklyn, NY). The Badgers broke through the Husky defense in the final minute of play. Sarah Capel drove the ball past a diving Yatrakis for the lone Wisconsin goal with an assist credited to Jenny Kundert.
