Huskies Help Distribute Holiday Meals

Hartford, CT (December 19, 2002)-- University of Connecticut basketball coach Jim Calhoun and the 2002-03 Huskies took part in an event Thursday evening that helped to provide holiday meals to 500 Hartford area families.
The food drive during the month of November, which took place at all Connecticut Stop & Shop locations, raised approximately $215,000 to feed needy families in the Connecticut region.
