Huskies to Face Villanova in BIG EAST Semifinals

STORRS, CT (Nov. 3) – With a 1-0 win over Georgetown on Saturday evening at Morrone Stadium, the University of Connecticut women’s soccer team claimed a spot in the BIG EAST Semifinals. The Huskies will face Villanova on Friday, November 8 at 5 p.m. The Wildcats advance after defeating Boston College by a score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
In other BIG EAST action, Rutgers defeated Miami, 4-3, on Friday, to advance. They will meet up with West Virginia on Friday at 7 p.m. The Mountaineers shut out St. John's, 4-0 on Sunday. The women’s tournament is being hosted by the University of Connecticut and all games will be played at Morrone Stadium in Storrs, CT.
Winners of the semi-final games will meet on Sunday, November 10 at noon.
