STORRS, CT (November 26) – The University of Connecticut men’s soccer NCAA Tournament second-round game scheduled for Wednesday, November 27 against the University of Pennsylvania is now slated to start at 3:30 p.m. at Morrone Stadium, based on an assessment of the field conditions done early Wednesday afternoon.
The Huskies received a first round bye in the 2002 NCAA Tournament selection after posting a record of 15-5 overall through the finals of the BIG EAST Tournament. UConn is ranked No. 8 nationally and earned its sixth straight and 23rd overall NCAA appearance.
Pennsylvania defeated Seton Hall University 1-0 in the first overtime on Saturday afternoon to advance the Quakers to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Quakers hold an overall record of 12-3-1, and are ranked No. 20 nationally.
