Shain Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

STORRS, CT (Nov. 18) – Freshman goaltender Kaitlyn Shain (Calgary, Alberta) was awarded the Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors as chosen by league officials Monday afternoon.
Shain notched her first collegiate victory in grand style, making 33 saves in a 2-0 shutout win at Findlay on Saturday.
Connecticut returns to action this weekend when they play host to Niagara on Friday, November 22 at 7 p.m. at the UConn Ice Arena.
