Men's Golf Places Ninth at MacDonald Classic

ABSECON, N.J. (October 29) – The University of Connecticut’s men’s golf team shot a 345 on Wednesday to finish with a 673 and in ninth place at the inaugural John MacDonald Classic, hosted by Temple University at the par-71 Galloway National Golf Club in Absecon, New Jersey. Iona won the event with a final score of 622.
Individually, Jordan Burke, playing in his second tournament of the fall, led the way for UConn with a 165, tying him for 21st overall. Justin Ciombor was second for UConn and tied for 28th overall with a 168. Mike Murphy tied for 35th overall with a 170 while Michael Hornug was a stroke behind at 171, good for a 38th place tie. Chris Walton finished 46th overall with a final tally of 176.
