Cochrane Named to NFHCA All-Star Game

STORRS, CT (Oct. 25, 2002)-- Senior Kelly Cochrane (Scarsdale, NY) of the University of Connecticut field hockey team was named to the 2002 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I North/South Senior All-Stars team on Friday afternoon. Cochrane will be a member of the North squad which will play the South squad on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 7:30 p.m., on the campus of the University of Louisville.
Cochrane leads UConn and the BIG EAST in assists with 14 on the year and ranks fifth nationally in assists and assists per game. She was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 3, and set a new school record for assists in a game when she had five versus Quinnipiac on Oct. 4.
The Huskies return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26, when they host BIG EAST foe Syracuse at 1 p.m. at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex in Storrs. The Connecticut field hockey program will honor two seniors prior to the game during Saturday’s "Senior Day" presentation.
