Henderson Awarded Co-Offensive Player of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, RI (Oct. 21, 2002)-- University of Connecticut sophomore Lauren Henderson (Avondale Harare, Zimbabwe) was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week by the BIG EAST on Monday after leading the UConn field hockey team to a 5-0 shutout of Rutgers.
Henderson scored two goals in the win over Rutgers to help the Huskies improve to 3-0 in the BIG EAST. The sophomore has 17 goals on the year to lead the conference.
The Huskies return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 22, when they travel to M.I.T. to meet Boston University. Game time is 4 p.m.
