Women's Tennis Fairs Well in First Day of Tourney

STORRS, CT -- In the first day of action at the Eastern Collegiate Championships, being held at Army, the UConn women’s tennis team came out on top, winning five of seven singles sets and three of four doubles sets. Four singles players will participate in the quarterfinal rounds tomorrow. In addition, one doubles team will play in the semifinal round of their bracket.
