Women's Tennis Falls to Seton Hall

STORRS, Conn. (April 13) – The University of Connecticut women's tennis team fell to Seton Hall, 5-2, in a BIG EAST dual match Friday afternoon at the UConn Tennis Courts in Storrs, Conn.
Sophomore Colleen Connors (Ormond Beach, Fla.) defeated Kyli Lassalle of Seton Hall, 7-6, 6-0, at second singles, while fellow sophomore Katie Olsen (Gales Ferry, Conn.) defeated Danielle Houle in a grueling three-setter, 3-6, 7-6, 7-6, at No. 5.
On the doubles side, junior Melanie Polanco (New Haven, Conn.) and freshman Candice Jones (Silver Spring, Md.) captured their fourth win this season with a 8-6 rally over the Pirates' Houle and Beth Dugan at No. 3 doubles. The Polanco-Jones combination have gone 4-1 this year in doubles competition.
Connecticut (9-10 overall, 1-3 BIG EAST) plays its final conference and regular season match tomorrow against Villanova at noon in Storrs.
