UConn Golf Places 4th at Big 5 Tourney

Medalist honors went to Rhode Island’s Michael Sims who shot a four- under 67 on the afternoon. Sims was followed by teammate Mike Carbone who carded a 68 on the day. Sean Vigue (Lebanon, CT) paced the Husky effort finishing in a tie for third on the afternoon with a one-under 70, his lowest round of the season. John Humphreys (Niantic, CT) tied his season best round of 76 to finish in 16th for UConn. Rounding out the UConn scoring was Nathan Thomsen (Rocky Hill, CT) with a 78 (T17th), Geoffrey Reilert (Simsbury, CT) with an 80 (T20th) and Kevin O’Connor (East Lyme, CT) with an 81 (T22nd).
The Huskies will compete next in the New England Championships on April 24-25, in Dover, NH.
