Kamienski Named MAAC Hockey Player of the Week

Kamienski wins the award for his strong performance in UConn's 11-1 rout of Bentley on Saturday night. He became the second MAAC player this season to record six points (3- 3--6) in a game. He assisted on the first three Husky goals, scored the fourth and then opened the third period with two goals for the hat trick. Kamienski, a sophomore, finished the regular season with 18 points on 11 goals and seven assists, surpassing his own single-season record of goals scored after only netting two last season.
The No. 5 seed UConn will travel to Buffalo, NY to take on the No. 4 seed Canisius College in a quarterfinal game of the 2001 MAAC Championship. The game will be played on Saturday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.
