UConn Drops Two to Army and Long Island

There, the Huskies would drop matches to host Army, 5-0, and later to Long Island, 5-1. Doubles contests were not played due to the weather conditions for road travel. UConn's match win versus LIU came from junior Laurel Lebby (Pepper Pike, Ohio), who defeated Veronika Khrakouskaya, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 6 singles.
Connecticut (5-7) has some time off until it gets back into action on March 16-25 during the Huskies' spring break trip to Orlando, Fla. UConn will compete against Bethune-Cookman on March 19 at 9 a.m., Drexel on March 21 at 8 a.m. and Otterbein on March 22 at 11:30 a.m.
