Huskies Shutout by Quinnipiac, 5-0

NORTHFORD, CT (November 9) – The University of Connecticut men’s ice hockey team was shutout 5-0 by Quinnipiac University in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Northford Ice Pavilion on Friday night.
With the loss, the Huskies suffered their first conference loss of the season dropped their record to 1-4-1 overall, 1-1-1 in the MAAC. Quinnipiac improved to 5-3-0 overall, 3-3-0 in the conference.
Five different players scored for Quinnipiac, including a goal and an assist from Brian Herbert.
Connecticut will take-on Hockey East rival UMass-Amherst on Sunday, November 11 at 7:00 pm at the Springfield Civic Center. UConn is looking for its first win over a Hockey East school and to beat last year’s 2-2 overtime tie.
