Huskies Down Quinnipiac for First Time in History

STORRS, CT (October 17, 2001) - For the first time in the history of the program, the University of Connecticut women’s tennis team just edged Quinnipiac, 4-3, Wednesday afternoon at the UConn tennis courts. Quinnipiac, a nationally-ranked program, was able to take two singles matches and the doubles point from the Huskies, but strong play in the singles matches pushed UConn over the top. The win lifts the Huskies to a perfect 3-0 on the fall season.
