Women's Soccer To Host Wisconsin On Nov. 12

STORRS, CT - The University of Connecticut women's soccer team will face the University of Wisconsin-Madison on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 12 noon in the Second Round of the NCAA Division I Women's College Cup Soccer Championship. This is the 19th consecutive year UConn has received a berth to the tournament. Wisconsin defeated Princeton, 1-0, in the second sudden death period on on Nov. 8 to advance to the second round.
UConn, 15-6-2 overall, was one of the 16 Division I teams to earn a first round bye in the NCAA Tournament field. The Huskies head coach Len Tsantiris and his team will play at home this coming weekend, Sunday, November 12 at 12 noon at Morrone Stadium against the winner of a first round match-up on Wednesday between host Wisconsin (15-6-1) and Princeton (13-4).
Tickets will be on sale the day of the game at Morrone Stadium. Adult tickets are $7 and all others (senior citizens, college students and youths) will be charged $5.
