UConn Women's Soccer Earns 19th Consecutive NCAA Berth

STORRS, CT (Nov. 6, 2000)-- The University of Connecticut womens soccer team earned an NCAA Division I Womens Soccer Championship berth for the 19th consecutive year Sunday night as the 48-team field was announced for the 2000 NCAA Tournament.
UConn, 15-6-2 overall, was one of the 16 Division I teams to earn a first round bye in the NCAA Tournament field. The Huskies head coach Len Tsantiris and his team will play at home this coming weekend, Sunday, November 12 at 12 noon at Morrone Stadium against the winner of a first round match-up on Wednesday between host Wisconsin (15-6-1) and Princeton (13-4).
Tickets will be on sale the day of the game at Morrone Stadium. Adult tickets are $7 and all others (senior citizens, college students and youths) will be charged $5.
