UConn Places Four On All-BIG EAST Teams

Carlson was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team for the second consecutive year. She started and played in all 21 games this season and is currently second on the all-time list for scoring with 151 career points. The senior leads the Huskies in assists with 11 and is well on her way to becoming the leader in all-time games played at UConn playing in 98 of 98 possible games.
Bowie and Monroe join Carlson on the All-BIG EAST First Team. Bowie scored 12 goals and added six assists to lead the team with 30 points. A transfer from Dalhousie University in Canada, she tallied two hat tricks this year against Providence and Miami. Monroe, a Hermann Trophy Finalist, picks up her third All-BIG EAST First Team award. She has 13 points on five goals and three assists. She is currently third in all-time scoring at UConn with 114 points.
Zimny was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and has started in each game she has appeared. An integral part of the Husky defense, she has helped limit opponents to just 6.6 shots and 0.80 goals per game.
The Huskies, the No. 1 seed in the Northeast Division, will take on Syracuse, the No. 3 seed in the Mid-Atlantic Division, in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament hosted by the University of Notre Dame. The game is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.
