VanDerveer's joined the Carolina Elite coaching staff in 2018, helping to develop young athletes and assisting them with college recruitment. She also interned with the Strength and Conditioning Department at the University of South Carolina, where she constructed workouts to improve speed and power of student-athletes.
Prior to her stint with the Elite, VanDerveer served as a coach for the New Jersey Intensity as well as mentor/instructor at Zoned Sports Academy in Bridgewater, N.J.
VanDerveer graduated from USC in December of 2018 with a degree in Criminal Justice. She concluded her two seasons as a Gamecock with 108 appearances and 103 starts, 76 hits, and 22 home runs—fifth most all-time in program history.
Before transferring to USC, she started all but two games in her Nittany Lion career. Some of her other accolades include Second Team All-SEC, Spring 2018 and First Team All-Region, Spring 2018.
