Dominic Godi is entering his seventh year with UConn Athletics and currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives.Â
As a key member of Benedict’s executive and leadership teams, Godi plays a key role in shaping the department's long-term strategy and direction. His responsibilities encompass overseeing human resources, acting as the liaison to the Office of the General Counsel, and leading initiatives related to external relations and revenue generation.
Godi serves as the primary sport administrator for both women's tennis and women's ice hockey, and he is the secondary sport administrator for football. As such, he works closely with Benedict on scheduling future opponents for the football program, ensuring competitive and strategic match-ups.Â
Dom most recently served as an Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives. He began his role as the Assistant Director of Athletic Administration in 2019 and was elevated to Deputy Director of Athletics Administration in 2021. In these prior roles, he gained experience in game operations, event contracts and employment agreements.
Prior to starting a full-time role at the University of Connecticut, he was an undergraduate intern for three years and then an athletic administration graduate assistant within the UConn Department of Athletics.
Godi graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in sport management in 2019.
