Bio
As a Junior in 2016-17: Earned All-American Athletic Conference honors in the 400-yard free relay, 800-yard free relay and 400-yard medley relay…the 800-free relay finished second in a school-record time of 6:29.74…the 400-free relay was in a school-record 3:15.00.
As a Sophomore in 2015-16: Won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:42.09 at the Villanova…part of 800-freestyle relay team that finished fourth at AAC Championship (6:36.31).
Before UConn: Swam at H.B. Plant High School for two years and was a member of the Tampa Bay Community Swim Club, competing in butterfly and freestyle events...was All-Hillsborough County and team captain…was Swimmer of the Year in Hillsborough County in 2013..participated in the 2013 and 2014 National Club Swimming Association (NCSA) Junior National Championships.
Personal: Kyle Q. Kimura…son of Koi and Yung Kimura... has two brothers, Kory and Kent...political science major.
