At UConn: Continued to improve in his sophomore season... Competed in the 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle at the 2015 Conference Meet... Really started to hit his stride in the summer following his freshman campgain... Has trained well and still posseses a lot of potential in the 200-yard freestyle and backstroke events.
Achievements: Was a National Scholastic Athlete at Hickory High School... Named the Virginia Swimmer of the Year while in high school.
Personal: Born Feb. 21, 1994... Son of Jerry and Chellie Burton... Has two brothers, Logan and Nick, and one sister, Bethany... Undecided Major.
Why UConn: "I chose UConn because when looking for a college, I took into account the academics. I believe I can achieve my academic and athletic goals as well as be a part of a team that works together like a whole."
