2016-17 (Freshman Season): Played in 15 games his rookie season...Finished the season with two points on two assists...Generated nine shots on goal...Had an assist in his collegiate debut, a 6-0 win over Alabama Huntsville in the season opener (Oct. 7)...Picked-up an assist in a 4-4 tie at Colgate (Oct. 14).
Before UConn: Payusov spent the last two seasons skating in the USHL, last year with the Madison Capitols...He appeared in 57 games and was fourth on the team in scoring with 31 points...He scored 17 goals, third on the club, and added 14 assists...In 2014-15, he played in 47 games with the Sioux City Musketeers...Finished the year with three goals and seven assists for 10 points...Attended Louis Philippe-Pare School in Chateauguay, Quebec.
