Reardon has strong Northeast ties as he coached at Holy Cross in 2011 and Sacred Heart from 2008-10.
In 2015 with the Huskies, Reardon coached cornerback Jamar Summers, who earned All-American Athletic Conference honorable mention honors as Summers was ranked second in the country and led the league in interceptions with eight. The eight interceptions also were tied for second in UConn single-season history.
Reardon helped the Huskies rank 20th in the country and first in the conference in passing yards allowed at 189.3 per game. UConn was 15th in the country in scoring defense at 19.5 points per game, which again led the American and was seventh in the country and first in the American in red zone defense.
Prior to coming to UConn, Reardon was a graduate assistant coach at Notre Dame from 2012-13. At Notre Dame, Reardon assisted UConn head coach Bob Diaco and worked with the Irish inside and outside linebackers.
In 2011, Reardon was outside linebackers coach at Holy Cross and was part of a defensive coaching staff that helped hold opponents to only 3.9 yards per carry.
Reardon spent three seasons at Sacred Heart, coaching the defensive line in 2008, the secondary in 2009 and serving as defensive coordinator and secondary coach in 2010.
Reardon's first job was as a graduate assistant at Central Michigan from 2006-07. He assisted with coaching the defensive line and inside linebackers. Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly was the Chippewas head coach in 2006.
In Reardon's first season as graduate assistant, Central Michigan won the Mid-American Conference and the Motor City Bowl en route to a 10-4 season. Reardon was a student assistant in 2005 for Central Michigan's football team and again worked with Diaco.
A 2006 graduate of Central Michigan, Reardon was on the Chippewas football team from 2001-04. He earned his bachelor's degree in physical education with a minor in history. He is a native of Sturgis, Mich.
