The UConn Athletics Department offers many opportunities for students to obtain employment and internships, while learning about working in college athletics. Below are the job descriptions for each department.

Athletic Training/Sports Medicine
Sports Medicine Student Manager
- Position Description: UConn Athletics is seeking qualified and motivated students to become a part of the Sports Medicine Student Manager program. This program allows interested students to gain experience in collegiate athletics healthcare. Positions are open to full time undergraduate and graduate students of all academic interests, with preference given to those with morning availability.

Communications
Communications Student Intern
- Position Description: The University of Connecticut Division of Athletics is seeking dedicated applicants for the Athletic Communication department for the 2025-2026 academic year. The position will start in August 2025 through May 2026 and may be renewed annually based on performance. The goal of our department is to provide an encompassing view of collegiate communications. This is a paid opportunity that allows students to gain real world experience within a collegiate athletic department. Hours are flexible and allow for students to build their schedule based on available events, but students are expected to work multiple events each month. This position will assist the Athletic Communications team in transcribing quotes from post-game press conferences, and includes working at home athletic events during weekdays, evenings and weekends (includes Rentschler Field and Peoples Bank Arena) and assisting with statistics and social media.
- Job Requirements: Knowledge of sports and statistics is helpful. Knowledge of various computer programs such as Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop is also helpful, but not required. Writing experience is preferred.

Photography Intern
- Position Description: This position will assist the Athletic Communications team in providing timely, high quality visual content across all sports, and includes working at home athletic events during weekdays, evenings and weekends (includes Rentschler Field and XL Center).

Compliance
Compliance Intern
- Position Description: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance Services, the Office of Athletics Compliance (OAC) Student Worker Intern will assist the OAC in providing excellent customer service to UConn student-athletes, coaches, institutional staff members, and other constituents. The OAC Student Worker Intern will be tasked with assisting the OAC in maintaining NCAA and ARMS (compliance monitoring software) databases and other duties as assigned.
- Rate of Pay: Unpaid for first year with potential to work into a paid position in future years.

Athletics Development Student Worker
- Position Description: The Husky Athletic Fund at the UConn Foundation seeks an Athletics Development Student Worker - Digital Media & Creative for August 2025 through May 2026. The Student Worker will have primary responsibility for digital media marketing campaigns and creative assets, as well as daily office functions and game day responsibilities.

Football Recruiting Operations Intern
- Position Description: This position entails working closely with coaches, recruiting coordinators, and the internal operations of the football team. The student-assistant will enhance their professional experience through a variety of tasks that include evaluating prospective student-athlete video highlights, creating and organizing recruit lists for coaches, assisting with facility and campus tours for recruits, facilitating recruit visits during home games, and much more!
