WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT SHABAZZ
"He's an All-American player. I know I might be biased, but he's the best guard in America, to me, hands down. He just keeps focusing in on the things we need to do to win. He knows when it's time to take over the game."
- Kevin Ollie, UConn Head Coach
"Guarding Shabazz Napier is probably the most difficult thing of any player you have to defend because he makes every free throw and he makes smart plays."
- Rick Pitino, Louisvile Head Coach
"Shabazz has been absolutely Mr. Clutch this season. He has been simply sensational and certainly, certainly All-American quality all year."
- Dick Vitale, ESPN
"He's playing as well as anybody in the country. I can't imagine anybody on any team that has such a positive effect on his team as Napier has on Connecticut. When you have the best player in the country you have a chance to do great things, and they have a kid I think is as good as anybody in the country."
- Larry Brown, SMU And Hall of Fame Head Coach
"He's having one of the best years in the history of UConn. This year he has really matured greatly as a person, a basketball player and a leader."
- Jim Calhoun, Hall of Fame
Former UConn Head Coach
"He's showing the basketball world that he is capable of running any team. His character is taking over and it's nothing but positive."
- Khalid El-Amin, UConn Guard on
1999 National Championship Team
